2. Agasthyarkoodam Peak
Location:– 50 kilometers from Trivandrum city to reach Bonacaud and then 28 km trekking path to reach the peak. Prior permission from Kerala Forest Department is mandatory for trekking and visit allowed only during January to March months. No permission for ladies and children.
Route:– Trivandrum City–Nedumangad–Vithura–Bonacaud–Athirumala–Agasthyarkoodam Peak
Main Attractions:– The peak and forest around with abundance of rare herbs, medicinal plants and orchids; rare animals, birds and fish; rivers; tea plantations around the base stations.
Activities To Do:– Trekking, river bath, bird and wildlife watching, pilgrimage.

3. Mankayam Ecotourism
Location:–50 kilometers from Trivandrum city, near Palode.
Main Attractions:– Kalakayam waterfall, Kurisadi Waterfall, shola forests, trekking option to Varayadin Motta and Ayampara waterfall.

4. Neyyar Dam and Wildlife Sanctuary
Location:–32 kilometers from Trivandrum city.
Main Attractions:–Lake, picturesque dam site, garden, crocodile breeding centre, lion safari park, deer park, Kappukad elephant rehabilitation centre, Sivananda Yoga Ashram.
Activities To Do:–Dam walk-through; boating; elephant riding; trekking; lion, deer, crocodile and elephant park visits, photography.

Location:– 44 kilometers north-east of Thiruvananthapuram City.
Route: Trivandrum City–Nedumangad–Vithura—Peppara
